BCPC The Black Creatives of Pitt County is made up of artists living, working, and playing in Pitt County. The group is made up of artists who are interested in literary, performing, and visual arts, however it is not limited to these. All are welcome.

Black Creatives of Pitt County's mission is to host a safe space and inspire Black artists in Pitt County, North Carolina to network, create, and serve the arts community with diverse expressions from Black creatives.

Black Friday at Black Rose

Black Friday at Black Rose Social

The Black Creatives of Pitt County are hosting a social at Black Rose Bottling Company on Friday, September 26th, 2025 from 7-10pm. It's a perfect opportunity to bring a friend, network, and socialize with other creatives in the community! This event is free to attend. Purchases may be made at the bar for beverages and snacks.

Deb Sheppard

Deb is a multi-disciplinary artist, poet, writer, director, curator, and founder of HeARToscope, a nonprofit bringing arts and culture to underserved communities. She brings a bold vision to expand our reach — partnering with small businesses, showcasing talent of all kinds, and bringing vibrant cultural experiences to downtown Greenville.

From live music, poetry, and DJ sets to art pop-ups, movie nights, game nights, and culinary events, Deb is ready to help make Greenville a destination for culture — and a place where our incredible local talent can shine.

 

Public Art Project Completed

first street The 1st Street mural is located in Greenville, NC where Evans Street and 1st Street meet.

The mural was completed December 2020.
