Jubran Sculpture 05/10
Public Art Project Initiated

On May 7, 2010, a crane lifted an placed the sculpture by Hanna Jubran gently onto the sculpture pad on the corner of Reade & Cotanche in Uptown Greenville. This partnering program between the City of Greenville and the Pitt County Arts Council is the first of many public arts projects that should be initiated in the next year. YOUTH PUBLIC ARTS PROJECT
PAINTS THEATER MURAL

The PCAC at Emerge Youth Public Arts Project completed a mural on the facade of the old Park Theatre in Uptown Greenville. This 2 month project was completed by a group of 8 girls who are part of a program that meets each Monday at PCAC at Emerge, where they work with professional artists to create positive public art that is dispersed throughout the county. Many of the participants are at-risk as determined by Court Counselors, School Counselors, DSS and other references. Transportation and dinner is provided.
